Online Writers’ Support and Accountability Group
Jump-start your writing practice in the new year!
Join us for 8 weeks of connection focused on goal-setting, accountability, and community. This group is for you if you have a writing project you want to make significant progress on, at any stage of development (compelling idea through umpteenth draft), in any genre (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, etc.) and any length, whether you're on a path to publication or creating for other reasons. Facilitated by two professional editors and writing coaches, meetings will emphasize progress, challenges, effective goals, and resources to help you keep moving!
Schedule: Weekly on Mondays, January 6 to February 24, 2025
7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Central (Convert to your local time here.)
Note that the group will meet on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 20) and Presidents’ Day (February 17).
Cost: $200
Group size: Maximum of 10 participants, minimum of 5.
Format: Each meeting (hosted on Zoom) will include time for participants to reflect on their writing practice, report on their progress during the previous week, and set goals for the week to come. Brief timed writing exercises will encourage participants to identify their writing strengths and challenges as well as to articulate concrete goals. Group members will help hold each other accountable from week to week on progress toward their individual goals. The facilitators will offer guidance, resources, and tips for creating a sustainable writing practice, customized to the participants’ interests and needs—as well as cheerleading and encouragement as you make progress over these two months!
Note that this is not a workshopping group; participants will not be sharing their work.
Zoom meetings will not be recorded.
Any questions? Have accessibility needs to discuss, or other ways we might be able to help? Please email Beth.
